From its beginning in New York City in 1882, Nyack College has been devoted to the concept of education as preparation for service. After purchasing 28 acres on a picturesque hillside, in 1897 the school moved to the village of South Nyack, New York. In 1956 the school was renamed Nyack Missionary College and then in 1972 changed to Nyack College to reflect the total program of the college.
Nyack College, a Christian and Missionary Alliance educational institution, through its undergraduate, graduate and seminary programs, pursues its historic mission of preparing men and women to "take the whole Gospel to the whole world."
